The Webbs 2009
December 29, 2009:

Here's a little slideshow of what all the Webb Family did this year.
We were part of only 10 percent of Madison County that didn't lose power during the Ice Storm. Cameron discovered basketball and decided that he likes shooting sports with me. In March, Nolan won the science fair at Model Lab with his experiment on rifle ballistics (he's our miltary, hunting kid). Nolan and Natalie went to Washington D.C. in April with his 5th Grade Class. In May, we reached a big milestone when Laura, our baby, graduated kindergarten. In June, Cameron's Coach Pitch team went 15-0 in the regular season, and was one out away from a perfect season, before losing in the finals of the tournament. we took our annual family vacation to Indian Shores, Florida. Natalie and I like to joke that it's the only week out of the year that we don't have an agenda. We truly treasure that week on the beach.

And I can't forget the 6th member of our family, Flopsy, our lop-earred rabbit. For those of you teachers out there, yes, we named her from the play "Peter Rabbit."

Nolan and I both had surgery, two weeks apart in the summer. He had a bone spur on his wrist, and I had a double hernia. Makes you wonder how a guy can get a hernia from pushing the shutter button on a camera, but I managed to get not one, but two, from moving railroad ties. I went to church camp with the kids at Camp Burnamwood in Estill County in August, and we celebrated Laura's 6th birthday a few days later.

We were back visiting Washington D.C. in October. And in November we hosted a photography friend from Estonia, in Eastern Europe, named Kerly Ilves. Later that month, Nolan was with me when I took a 160-Class buck during deer season in November.

It's been a great year. I thank the Lord every night, for what he has given me and my family.
