Mr. Webb Goes To Washington-Day Two
October 9, 2009:
We're back in Washington D.C. again with the kids on fall break. This was my third time in Washington D.C. in a year. I love this city! So much history and so much architecture. I went to the Newseum while the rest of my crew went to the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. I saw it last year, plus I never was a dinosaur freak. I loved the Newseum. There was one whole section on the Pulitzer Prize winning photos, as well as a 9-11 section. I was very moved by both sections. We also got a rare White House visit, thanks to Sen. Mitch McDonnell's office. I think it was because my father-in-law Gale is such as a huge Republican...ha! Gale is a Democrat through and through. So we thought it was amazing that we got the tour. This was Laura's first trip to the District. She loved riding the Metro subway. She soaked in all the sights and sounds, especially the people.

Bill Biggert was the only working photojournalist killed on 9-11.
