Letters From Future Photographers
December 6, 2009:
I had the opportunity a few weeks ago to speak at Career Day at my kid's school, Model Lab, in Richmond. I was very humbled to later receive so many Thank You letters from the students, that ranged from third grade to fifth grade. I told each of them that day, that I got started when I was a second grader at Clay City Elementary, and that they weren't too young to become photographers. I even showed them snapshots that I took when I was in elementary school. They loved the one of my third grade teacher, Mrs. Christine Mastin.
Here are a few of the letters.

Me, with my mom and my camera, at NASA in Florida, December 1979.
Riverfront Stadium in Cincinnati, July 1979.
Dana McKinney, on our fourth grade field trip to Boonesboro, Spring 1979. I don't know where she got that stupid looking cowboy hat. Okay, it was mine.
The last day of school, fifth grade, Clay City Elementary, May 1980.
Melanie Scott, left, and Monica Davoll, at the Clay City Christian Church, winter 1978.
Dad's telephone truck, Summer 1979.
My third grade teacher, Mrs. Christine Mastin, Winter 1979
