The Wide World of Media: April 15, 2009
The general public usually sees a sports sports story on TV or in the
newspapers, but rarely sees what it looks like behind the scenes.
When the story is big, such as UK's new basketball coach John Calipari
having a spring practice, then there is a hord of media there to cover it.
In situations like this, there simply isn't enough room for all of the media
to cover one person.

I decided to cover Jodie Meeks while he was talking about his future
in the NBA, or back at Kentucky, by taking a low-angle approach between
the legs of the other photographers and reporters.

This was as close as I could get to Calipari. I'm not that tall, I just have
really long arms!!!

An interview with Kentucky-native Darius Miller.

Patrick Patterson talks about his future.

with a long lens.
