Wildcat: April 1, 2008
I
had no idea when I took this photo of Mr. Wildcat,
Bill Keightly, at the Boys Sweet 16 state tournament,
that it would be one of the last photos taken of him.
Keightly died in Cincinnati on March 31, after falling
at a Reds game. He was UK's equipment manager for 48 years.
In this photo Patrick Patterson and Billy Gillispie
are clapping for another Kentucky-Great, Joe B. Hall,
who was being honored at center court.
Here, Keightly cuts
up with Donna Smith who was on hand for
the February 27, Ole Miss game, to watch her son Brian play.
