Flashes
of Hope: June 19, 2008
Flashes of Hope is a national
non-profit organization that
works with commercial photographers to provide free portraits
to children with cancer and other life threatening illnesses. I
feel very fortunate that I was able to volunteer my time with the new
Louisville Chapter at Kosair Childrens Hospital. My Dad and Chris
Radcliffe were a big help with loading in equipment and adjusting
the lights so that I could keep shooting. These behind-the-scene
photos were taken by Chris.

It really hit home to me because a lot of these
kids were the same age as my kids.

The kids even had their own makeup artist on hand

John Dubins, left, the Louisville chapter director
of FOH, flies planes around the world for UPS
when he's not volunteering at Kosair.

Even parents and sibblings got
in on the photo-fun

This mom was happy with what she saw
in the back of my camera.

I had to glove- and gown-up for the
last photo of the day.
