The Return of Brenda:

One of my first student photographers was a girl from Lancaster named
Brenda Ahearn. In 1996 she showed up on my door step with her daddy's camera
equipment and wanted to be a photographer... yea right! She was very determined
and eventually went on to work all across America and even backpacked, photographing
Europe. About once a year, like a tumbleweed, she rolls back into Richmond,
and when she does I invite my other student photographer-extrodinare Chris
Radcliffe and his family and our friend Karen Lynn, over for a cookout.
